What is Laveos Mud Guard Oil?
Mud, moisture and wet conditions can make the skin on a horse’s legs vulnerable and sensitive, particularly on legs prone to mud fever, rasp, mites or fungal infections. Laveos Mud Guard Oil forms a nourishing and protective layer, which helps prevent water and mud from being absorbed as easily and keeps the skin in good condition.
Properties of Laveos Mud Guard Oil
The oil contains, amongst other ingredients, neem oil and botanical extracts with nourishing properties. This makes it an excellent choice for the daily care of the pasterns, particularly during wet spells, on muddy pastures and for sensitive or easily irritated skin. It supports the skin’s natural balance, keeps the skin supple and helps prevent dirt from sticking to it.
Use
Use the oil daily as part of your grooming routine and gradually reduce the amount once the skin looks visibly calmer. Apply the oil to clean, dry skin and allow it a moment to absorb before your horse is exposed to rain, mud or damp conditions again.
Which horses is this suitable for?
Laveos Mud Guard Oil is suitable for horses with sensitive skin or sensitive pasterns. The oil can help support the skin, making it less prone to becoming soggy and helping it to remain supple — particularly in wet and changeable weather.
