Whether the itching is caused by summer conditions, insects, damp, dirt, perspiration or dry winter skin—this pack supports the horse from the inside out and cares for the skin naturally, helping it to remain in balance.
Restlessness can occur in any breed, but horses such as Tinkers, Friesians, Haflingers, draught horses, Fjords and Icelandic horses are often particularly prone to it. Scratching, biting, stamping and rubbing are not only seen on the tail and mane, but also on other parts of the body such as the legs, belly, neck, head or around the hooves. This can cause sore spots and a great deal of discomfort for the horse. With the right support, you can help the skin to remain stronger, calmer and better hydrated.

How do you use this skincare set?
For internal use:

- Never exceed the recommended dose
- If your horse is taking medication, always check with the vet first whether it goes with the herbs.
- Safety first, which is why it is better not to give herbs when your horse is pregnant.
- The amount depends on your horse's weight.
Age recommendations for herbal remedies (and blends) for horses

Dosage and duration
Which option should you choose?

The blend is supplied as loose botanical herbs for you to mix yourself. A course of treatment lasts 6 weeks, followed by a 4–6-week break. It is recommended that you alternate the herbs to provide a natural stimulus and regulate eating behaviour.
Herbal supplements do not have an immediate effect. A horse usually needs a few weeks to get used to a herbal mixture.

Using herbs for horses – safe or not?
Horses often respond well to herbal remedies. They can help restore the body’s balance. Never exceed the recommended dosage and build up the dose gradually. When using herbal remedies, improvement is usually gradual, particularly when a problem has been present for some time.
Of course, they’re always harmless. However, some herbs can be harmful if used incorrectly. Combining herbs with conventional medicines can affect their efficacy or lead to complications (such as severe colic). You should therefore always consult your vet before using them if your pet is on medication, is pregnant or is ill.
Be aware of possible allergic reactions (known as ‘nettle rash’). In rare cases, small bumps may appear all over the body. If this happens, stop using stinging nettle; the bumps will disappear
