What do mites do?
Horses with legs prone to mites can suffer from severe irritation. Mites cause itching, which leads the horse to bite at its socks or stamp its leg. Bald patches may appear on the coat. The mites often do not stay just on the legs but can spread across the whole body.
Mites are usually transmitted via saddles, blankets and brushes. That is why it is very important to use your own brushes and certainly not those of others. Some mites can survive in the environment for several weeks.

2. Green-XL Leg Cleaner – for leg and coat care
Green-XL Leg Cleaner has been specially developed for cleaning and caring for horses’ legs. The spray helps to keep the skin clean, particularly in horses that are prone to rubbing or biting their socks.
Thanks to its active ingredients, including probiotics, this spray helps to maintain the skin’s natural balance.
Directions for use: Spray with Green XL Leg Cleaner three times a week. Spray the affected areas lightly every other day. If there is a lot of mane, lift the horse’s mane and spray underneath it. If you haven’t achieved the desired result yet, you may repeat the treatment more often the following week. It is important to monitor how your horse reacts during the first week.
3. Neem ointment – a nourishing cream for sensitive skin
Neem is renowned for its versatile properties and has been used for centuries to care for and support the skin. It can help to keep the skin supple and moisturised and is often used to treat sensitive or irritated skin, such as in cases of dryness or flaking.
This ointment intensively nourishes and cares for the skin and supports its natural ability to heal. It helps to keep the skin soft and can be soothing for horses suffering from itching caused by insects.
Many horse owners use this cream on areas where the skin looks irritated or sensitive, such as where there is chafing or itching. The cream is easy to apply and is suitable for daily use.
Usage:
Apply a thin layer of the cream to cleansed skin 1–2 times a day. Always monitor how your horse reacts to it. For external use only.

Shelf life: Green xl products have a shelf life of 2 years. Do not store in direct sunlight. It is best to store these products at a temperature of 10–30 degrees. Therefore, never leave these products out in the cold or heat, for example outside the stable or outside your car.
