Bald spots on the coat. The louse often remains not only on the legs but can crawl all over the body.

Lice are usually transmitted through saddles, blankets and brushes. Therefore, it is also very important to use your own brushes and definitely not others'. Some mites can survive in the environment for several weeks.

Green-XL care set for itchy, irritated coats

This grooming kit is often chosen for horses that rub a lot, bite their socks or stamp their legs: this behaviour may indicate discomfort or the presence of small insects in the coat, such as mites or lice. This can sometimes be seen as bald patches or a ruffled coat.

It is also important to take the environment into account when grooming. Itching and discomfort can be exacerbated if brushes, rugs or saddles are shared or are not kept sufficiently clean. You should therefore always use your own grooming equipment and wash blankets regularly. This is because some pests can survive in the environment for several weeks.

Green-XL is formulated with natural ingredients and is suitable for the external care of skin and coat.

Popular choices for:

Rubbing, biting their socks or stamping their feet

Restless or sensitive legs

Natural coat and skin care

Use with care on bald patches or sensitive areas

It’s very important to try it on a small patch of skin first, to see how your horse reacts to it

Which products should I use to get rid of the pests?

1. Green XL Horse Shampoo– voor verzorging van gehele lichaam.

It is a biodegradable foam cleanser with added probiotics. Probiotics mean that it is not chemical-based.
